Consultation
The Fitz-All Consultation services provide direct support to parents and staff at schools, daycare centers, community and professional organizations. We utilize collaborative planning to provide the best supports for children in their existing programs. Our developmental specialists educate children and families about their specific strengths and needs and how best to achieve success in their community and/or educational environment.
Consulting with parents:Over the years of raising a child with special needs families often need a team with family, community and professional supports. I have been available for consultative services for many, many families over the years to assist in understanding developmental issues, sensory/behavioral issues, to provide therapeutic planning including review of therapy reports and need for ongoing specialized services and extracurricular activities.
Consulting with schools on:Understanding specific underlying needs and abilities for successful learning, identifying specific behaviors/needs, modifying classroom/school environments, and making adaptations in teaching curriculum/methods.
Consulting with businesses and community programs on awareness training for learning differences and styles, assist in creating programs that promote healthy early development and play and collaborate on support programs for children with specific learning needs.
Other Areas addressed through Fitz-All Consulting Services may include but are not limited to:
Identify learning styles, analyze and interpret tests, observe across environments and identify cause of problem behaviors, prescribe specific, appropriate, and practical learning strategies, classroom/playroom design and set-up.
